Lena Dunham’s tattoos have always been in the public eye along with the rest of her skin, as critics love to mention so her recent Instagram post showing off a new chest piece comes as a not-huge surprise, really.
However, her latest ink addition is getting some attention because of its placement, which Lena herself points out is “copying [Rhianna’s].”
And yeah, the tattoo immediately calls to mind what is arguably the most famous underboob tattoo of the 21st century, the underboob tattoo that essentially set the bar for all underboob tattoos:
Rihanna’s 2012 piece is a tribute to her grandmother, a black and white heiroglyphic of the Egyptian goddess Isis.
Dunham’s is an original design by Norwegian tattoo artist @trinnegrimm.
